We have quite the busy unconventional life filled with love, pets, partners, and two adorable little ones, so we understand how hard life can be.
It's not easy investing in yourself, but doing so is necessary every so often, not only for you but also for the ones that love you. Our Team
Amanda Adams is the main photographer and the heart behind Capturing Compersion Photography.
She is super short, quirky, and queer.
She's also a cat-girl, but don't worry, she won't show up to your wedding with THAT gear on. (Unless you ask for it, that is.)
You may know her by AJ Adams; her pen-name. She has written blogs, poetry, a play, and is currently working on an adult romance novel centered on the themes of kink and polyamory.
Amanda has over a decade of work on both sides of the lens. Her 20 years of experience in glamour, boudoir, and art nude modeling present a helpful advantage over other photographers in West Michigan as she can easily capture angles that they may not think of. She has also been an adult content creator, so don't worry about being judged. Body positivity is big here.
She is delighted to guide clients through the entire photo session experience by procuring useful links to online resources, helping shop for outfits and lingerie, demonstrating posing techniques, and providing positive constructive feedback and encouragement throughout the photo session.
She is happiest when clients leave the studio with a rediscovered confidence, feeling the magick of the moments that just occurred, and knowing that they are worthy of adoration.
Our Team
Chris is the videography side of things, but also works as a second shooter when he can.
He is such a hard worker to provide for his family.
Chris is the best support person you could ask for during your wedding day. If you need something; he's right there with our "Oh, sh*t! Kit" on hand. As tall and handsome as he is, he's very good at fading into the background so as not to be noticed.
He also helps do the important work of rigging, lighting, helping design sets, and making sure the day runs smoothly for all.
Occasionally he will pop in on portrait and boudoir sessions to see if anyone needs anything and all is going well.
Very technically adept, he thoroughly enjoys experimenting with new sets and lighting techniques. He is constantly practicing and researching all the latest info to up his video and photo game.
Ever the doting husband, he loves nothing more than to see Amanda smiling and giddy after an especially productive session.
